Next time you are in Washington, swing by the Walter E. Washington Convention at Mt. Vernon Square for a taste of Bone Doctors' and "The Cure for the Common Barbeque^R".

Executive Chef Dave Thompson and his team saw and tasted Bone Doctors' Sauces and Premium Spice Blend at this summer's Fancy Food Show held at the Convention Center. They were so pleased with the taste and quality of our products, as well as the brand developed and designed by Evolve of Greenville, NC, that they approached us for permission to use our brand, sauces and premium spice blend for a new Barbeque restaurant in the convention center. The facility opened to great reviews and return customers with a choice of smoked brisket, barbeque chicken and pulled pork. Days and hours of operation vary based on conventions and meetings.

July 13, 2011 - Back from the Fancy Food Show

The Bone Doctors' are back from the Summer Fancy Food Show held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. There, they met with representatives from around the United States as well as the world. At the show, they received great acclaim for their branding and packaging. For this, they gave a special thanks to Evolve of Greenville, NC for their creative input and work. Bone Doctors' BBQ was honored with a silver sofi award for their gift packaging. Cat Cora, of Iron Chef fame, was the keynote speaker and award presenter.

"Congratulations! Your entry, BBQ Gift Pack, has been selected as a Silver Finalist in the 2011 NASFT sofi™ Awards Competition, for Outstanding Food Gift.  The competition was stiff, with a record 1,657 entries across 31 categories.

Gold Winners for each award category will be determined in a special judging at the Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, July 10 and Monday, July 11. We will need product samples for that judging.  Instructions will follow.  Gold winners will be announced July 11 at a red-carpet ceremony hosted by noted chef Cat Cora."

Bone Doctors' BBQ is pleased to announce acceptance into the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT).

The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade is an association of independent, innovative businesses committed to bringing great foods to market. It is a diverse community of passionate and creative entrepreneurs who fuel the innovation and authenticity found in food today. With more than 2,900+ member companies from around the world, the NASFT is the preeminent not-for-profit business trade association established to foster trade, commerce and interest in the $60 billion specialty food industry.

Acceptance is by application and not an automatic process. Questionnaires are sent to customers, and the application and submitted samples are reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine whether a candidate is suitable for membership.

As a result of our admittance, the Bone Doctors' will be exhibiting at the 57th Annual Summer Fancy Food Show, to be held July 10 - 12 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

May 2, 2010 - Back from the Edenton, NC Hog Fest

The Bone Doctors' are back from judging the KCBS sanctioned Hog Fest in Edenton, NC. This being eastern North Carolina, Whole Hog was presented in addition to the 4 categories in all KCBS events - chicken, ribs, pork butts/shoulders and brisket. It was a terrific event and the day ended with a visit to Byrum True Value Hardware at 314 S. Broad Street who is now carrying Bone Doctors' Sauces and Premium Spice Blend.
